In the same town where a standoff between armed ranchers and the federal government recently ended, state authorities responding to an anonymous complaint arrested a 19-year-old man for illegal possession of trophy buck parts.
According to a statement from Oregon State Police, state Fish and Wildlife troopers arrested Jaden Simpson, of Burns, Oregon, for possession of four trophy buck skulls.
Troopers seized the buck skulls and cited Simpson on four counts of illegal possession of game parts. The charges have been forwarded to the Harney County District Attorney’s Office for consideration.
