National Firearms Museum Offers Halloween Tricks and Treats
FAIRFAX, VA – The National Firearms Museum is hosting a free after-hours Trick or Treat event for children and families from 4 to 6 p.m. on Halloween, Friday, Oct. 31, 2008. The Museum is located at 11250 Waples Mill Road in Fairfax, Virginia.
Treat buckets for children will be located in various galleries throughout the Museum, with light refreshments in the foyer for adults. The public is invited to attend. Costumes are welcome, but not necessary.
“This is another way for children to learn about the influence of firearms on our nation’s history and get some goodies,” National Firearms Museum Director Jim Supica said. “We hope to make this an annual event.”
The National Firearms Museum’s regular hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except major holidays. The Museum will be open its regular hours on Halloween before the Trick or Treat event. Admission is always free. The Museum Gift Store will be open late for the Trick or Treat event. Learn more at www.NationalFirearmsMuseum.org..
