Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- As the September 10th Colorado recall elections draw closer, one thing is clear: Democrats around the country are pouring resources into fighting the recall of Democratic state senators John Morse and Angela Giron.
Nationally known Democrats like Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), groups like Organizing For Action, and gun control advocates like New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg are pulling out all the stops to make sure the recalls go their way.
In doing this, they have nationalized an issue that ultimately began as an state-level rejection of gun control.
Breitbart News recently spoke with grassroots strategist Kurt Bardella about what was happening in Colorado. Here is what he told us:
There are two campaigns going on right now–one is a non-partisan grassroots campaign that has provided a platform for the people of Colorado to be heard. The other is an effort to suppress the people of Colorado by having money and manpower from New York and Chicago intervene. National Democrats and Mayor Bloomberg understand that next week’s election in Colorado will dictate the viability of their national effort to impose additional laws on gun owners everywhere.
Ultimately, the heavy involvement of so many outside groups betrays a fear on the part of Democrats that Morse and Giron may in fact be recalled.
