Priorities Derived from Inaugural Strategic Planning Meeting Held Earlier This Year
FAIRFAX, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- The National Deer Alliance (NDA) has outlined its five key initiatives to guide the organization over the next three years.
These initiatives were derived from NDA’s inaugural strategic planning meeting with their board members, outdoor industry professionals and deer experts held early this year.
NDA’s first strategic planning session, under the direction of CEO, Nick Pinizzotto, met to collaborate to achieve critical goals over the next three years with a focus on the future of wild deer conservation and hunting.
The key initiatives pulled from that meeting are:
- Deer diseases
- Wild deer conservation
- Hunter access
- Predators and competitors
- State and Federal land management
“While our board of directors and community experts understand there are several issues facing our deer populations today, we found these five focus areas to be the ones in most need of our help at this time,” said Nick Pinizzotto, NDA CEO. “It is important to remain focused and make big waves in concentrated areas rather than spreading ourselves thin over many areas where our impact may not be felt as much. For example, we need to be very focused on deer disease issues, such as Chronic Wasting Disease, due to the misunderstanding of the disease by hunters and the media. We are working with the country’s top deer biologists and scientists and will reveal more information soon.”
