NASGW Welcomes Pete Brownell to Board of Directors
Las Veagas, NV –-(AmmoLand.com)- NASGW’s Board of Directors held its last meeting of the 2009 membership year on January 18th just prior to the opening of SHOT Show.
A warm welcome was extended to new President, Mark Kresser and newest Director, Pete Brownell.
As a member of the NASGW for many years, Pete certainly appreciates the role the association has played in advancing the position of wholesalers in the shooting sports industry.
“The market sometimes forgets how important the middle channel is,” said Brownell. “We provide a tremendous value to both the manufacturers and the retailers.”
Always on the forefront of both brand-building and customer service, he has watched as customers have migrated from Brownell’s famous horizontal-format catalog to the Browenll’s internet website. And yet, it’s still the people that matter.
“The web just doesn’t replace relationships, and that’s what we wholesalers bring to the marketing process,” added Brownell. Brownell has high praise for the industry’s manufacturers. “Their innovation in design and expertise in manufacturing provide all of us with fantastic products to sell. Getting those products to market efficiently is where the distribution channel is so important. “
As a Board member, Pete will do everything he can to help the NASGW support the wholesale channel so everyone, manufacturers, distributors, retailers – and consumers – benefits.
“After three generations, we’ve got a lot of friends throughout the industry. We want everyone to succeed,” stated Brownell, “and a healthy supply chain is an essential ingredient.”
As always, the Board welcomes your comments, questions and concerns at any time.
