NASC Honors NWTF State Chapters At National Convention
NASHVILLE, TN –-(AmmoLand.com)- The National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) formally honored its long-time friends from the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) state chapters Thursday night at the NWTF Annual Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
Recognizing the critical importance of having an identified group of allies in state legislatures to promote and protect our outdoor heritage, NWTF has been a valuable partner to both the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation and NASC in moving key pro-sportsman legislation forward and providing a platform for state legislators to effectively protect and promote hunting and fishing.
“NWTF and our state chapters I’m sure will continue to support the NASC program as part of our ongoing effort to protect our hunting heritage,” said NWTF Board Member Robert Higginbottom. “The NWTF’s volunteers know how important it is that the sportsmen’s voice is heard by decision makers at the state level.”
During the reception honoring the NWTF chapter president’s, CSF President Jeff Crane and NASC State Caucus Manager Jennifer Lundy presented the state NWTF chapter presidents with awards, thanking them for their support.
NWTF state chapters have supported the CSF State Resource Fund (SRF) with nearly $300,000 since the SRF was created. These funds are earmarked to be used to advance a pro-sportsmen’s agenda in the states by supporting the NASC member caucuses.
“NWTF continues to be at the forefront of advancing a pro-sportsmen’s agenda both in Washington, DC and in states across the country, and today we celebrated our long-standing partnership,” said CSF President Jeff Crane. “This partnership is achieving an unprecedented level of success.”
NWTF state chapters have supported the NASC program since inception, and they continue that support of the nearly 2,000 state legislators and 38 state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses that make up the NASC.
