TV ads with buxom blondes showing off guns on TV, kids playing while twirling revolvers, chicken sandwiches paired with, yup, guns — all wrapped in a slow jam.
Quebec artist JS Houle featuring humorist Virginie Fortin performs “Gun Bless America,” a music video satirizing the proliferation of guns in the United States. On the website created for the video, it states:
In the first 280 days of 2015, there has been 266 mass shootings in the United States of America. More than 40,000 incidents involving a gun. More than 2,500 children injured or killed. 10,154 deaths. But don’t worry, everything is fine. May Gun Bless America.
The video was posted on Oct. 8 and has received more than 20,000 views. The single is available on iTunes for 99 cents.
