Mule Deer Reckoning on This Week’s Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg

BOZEMAN, Mont. (Ammoland.Com) – On this week’s Leupold’s Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg, Newberg hopes history doesn’t repeat itself in Nevada, as he’s been unsuccessful on his last three hunts here. But this time good hunting buddy, Jerry Pritchard, holds the tag and they witness migrating muleys during the late season rut. Will Pritchard be able to give a Howa handshake to a mountain muley?

“Some of my best friends are my hunting buddies and that’s exactly who Jerry is,” said Randy Newberg, Hunter. “He spent four days prior to this hunt putting in his time scouting the terrain. I’m not sure who is more excited for this hunt – him or me. I’m hoping the time he put in pays off.”

The duo found a small group with two large bucks and started making a move to get closer. Knowing since they are hunting on public land, anything can happen, they expect pressure from other hunters to mess up the hunt, but instead, they walk right into another grouping of mule deer! Chaos ensues and miscommunication between Newberg, Pritchard and the cameraman results in zero deer down.

Newberg and Pritchard are back on the hunt in the early morning on day two. Will Pritchard be able to do a Howa handshake?
