SALT LAKE CITY, Utah –-(Ammoland.com)- The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) recently announced the election of Jim Steadman as Chairman of the Board.

Steadman has been an active member on MDF’s Board since 2009 and has been Vice-Chairman for the past few years. In 2012, he was recognized by MDF’s Youth Coordinator Jon Zinnel for his service to and promotion of the M.U.L.E.Y. program.

Steadman is excited for the next couple of years as Chairman. He told hundreds of MDF volunteers, during the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo (WHCE) in late February, “We have some lofty goals to grow. And what that means is to grow our membership and our sponsorships, we have to build more relationships.”

Steadman talked about trust and how important customer and company relationships are to MDF. He said, “They trust that we will take their funds and put them on the ground.” He continued, “They trust we’re going to spend that money to help mule deer and black-tailed deer and improve habitat. So let’s grow together with more relationships and more friends that can help us take our mission and go a little bit faster.”

Kenn Loch of Katy, Texas, stepped down as Chairman as of March 1. MDF President and CEO Miles Moretti said, “Kenn’s dedicated leadership over the past several years has helped MDF grow and prosper through a difficult economy.” He concluded, “I look forward to working with Jim, as he is right here in Salt Lake City. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and I know his leadership will be a great asset for the Mule Deer Foundation.”
