Washington, DC -(AmmoLand.com)- The Outdoor Foundation, charitable arm of Outdoor Industry Association, is proud to announce that more than 30 sponsors have signed up to support the 2016 Outsiders Ball, which will be held on August 2nd –  ‘Night 0’ of Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.

This critical funding, along with individual ticket sales and auction proceeds, will support local programs across the country that connect young people with meaningful outdoor experiences. Since its inception three years ago, Outsiders Ball has funded more than 58,000 outdoor experiences for youth – advancing the Outdoor Foundation’s mission of inspiring a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts.

Outsiders Ball has emerged as the ‘must attend’ event where on one night, one thousand industry leaders join together for one common cause: to fund programs that connect a new generation of enthusiasts and consumers with the outdoors.

Early sponsors for the 2016 event include Platinum: The Conservation Fund, Embassy, The North Face, Outdoor Industry Association, Outdoor Retailer, REI, The SportsOneSource Group, Vasque, Wolverine Worldwide Foundation. Gold: CAT, Chaco, GSI Outdoors, Merrell, Saucony, SmartWool, Sperry, Thule, Timberland, Wolverine. Silver: DuPont Sorona, JanSport, LifeStraw, Marmot, Mountain House, Mountain Khakis, Uinta Brewing, Vibram.Bronze: Burton, Sustainable Down Source, Lewis N. Clark, Leatherman and Robert W. Baird & Co.

“The Outdoor Foundation is thrilled to have the continued support of leading outdoor brands to address the industry’s most critical issue – inspiring and growing future generations of outdoor enthusiasts,” said Chris Fanning, executive director of the Outdoor Foundation. “We believe the health and wellness of young people – and the entire outdoor industry – depends on everyone coming together to mobilize a cultural shift that leads Americans to the great outdoors.”

Kicking off its fourth year, The Outdoor Foundation’s Outsiders Ball will bring together outdoor companies of every size, from every sector, to invest in ideas and projects that connect new generations to the outdoors. The night blends party and purpose through art, competitions and auctions along with tasty local food, libations and music setting the tone at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City.

Last summer’s event raised $265,000 to support community projects across the country – many recommended by local retailers. Tickets for this year’s event are available at www.outsidersball.org.
