Montana – -(AmmoLand.com)- Dear MSSA Friends,
While working today, I heard a Jon Tester radio ad claiming that Matt Rosendale is a fake. Here, as Paul Harvey used to say, is the rest of the story.
Montana Shooting Sports Association (MSSA) rates Rosendale as an A+. He gets an A because in the Legislature Rosendale voted 100% for the gun-related bills that MSSA tracked.
However, even that’s not enough to get a + from Montana Shooting Sports Association. MSSA only gives a + to legislators who have successfully carried one or more bills for MSSA. I asked the legislator to do so, and for an issue the Montana Shooting Sports Association Board of Directors chose to place on MSSA’s legislative agenda.
Rosendale did that. I asked Matt to sponsor MSSA’s Ammunition Availability Act, in the 2015 session. That was Senate bill 122, to provide tax breaks, liability protection, and access to Montana economic development programs, all to encourage the manufacture of smokeless powder, small arms primers, and cartridge brass in Montana. Montana needs that.
Rosendale introduced and successfully carried Montana’s Ammunition Availability Act, which was passed, signed, and is now the law in Montana.
Rosendale carried our water. I can tell you that he’s the real deal. No, he wasn’t born in Montana. He’s a Montanan because he chose to live here, not by accident of birth. And, I can assure you that Matt understands the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Meanwhile, Matt’s chief critic, Senator Tester, voted to confirm anti-gun justices Kagan and Sotomayor, and voted against confirmation of pro-gun justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. Further, Tester supported the Manchin-Toomey amendment to force private transfers of firearms to be recorded in government computers, just like the miserable Bloomberg Ordinance that Missoula attempted and that sparked the Montana Attorney General Opinion that this Missoula Bloomberg Ordinance violates Montana law.
No, Tester is not a good guy from our perspective. It doesn’t matter that he was born here or that he has used a rifle to shoot cows. The Second Amendment was not put into the Constitution in case cows turned on us.
So, I hope you will support Matt Rosendale for Senate. He’s the real deal, even if he does have an accent. I say this because I know Matt personally. And, I hope you will make sure ten friends and neighbors go to the polls with you, and that you’ll pass on what I’ve said on your ride to vote.
Support Matt Rosendale when you vote in November.
Best wishes,
