Missoula, MT –-(Ammoland.com)- House District 94. You may have seen that I’m behind by 48 votes in my run as an Independent for House District 94.
We are looking at an apparent anomaly with some late night votes that put me behind, but the possibility that this would turn the election around is a long shot.
Montana Shooting Sports Association/NRA Legislative Reception. Montana Shooting Sports Association (MSSA) and the NRA will hold a reception for legislators at the Red Lion Colonial Inn in Helena, beginning at 5PM on Wednesday, January 7th 2015.
You are invited to attend to discuss items on the MSSA 2015 Legislative Agenda with attending legislators. The MSSA Legislative Agenda for the upcoming legislative session is expressed in MSSA’s 2014 Legislative Candidate Questionnaire, available at:
https://progunleaders.org/cq2014/Legislators2014CQ.html
I highly recommend that you read this material so you will be familiar with the issues MSSA will be pushing in the 2015 Montana Legislature.
From 3PM to 5PM on that day, I will conduct a briefing on these issues for those of you attending in a separate room at the Colonial. If you can attend both the briefing and the reception, that would be great, so come early if you can.
The reception will probably get over at about 8PM. Those of you traveling some distance may wish to stay overnight at the Colonial on the 7th. I’ve arranged a special room rate there for those attending this MSSA/NRA event. The rate for a queen-single is $97 including breakfast the next morning, or $89 without breakfast. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you want to stay at the Colonial on the evening of the 7th (I will), call soon to get a reservation – 406-443-2100. I’m told it will take a couple of days from now for this MSSA special to percolate through the Red Lion reservation system, but it should be available there soon – special rate for MSSA.
MSSA offers interesting door prizes for legislators attending our biannual legislative reception, so we typically get good attendance by legislators – usually the most well-attended legislative reception of the season. This is your chance to hang out with legislators, and to talk to them individually about the issues MSSA will have before the Legislature this session.
I hope to see you there.
Best wishes,
