LARGO, FL (May 2013) – Molon Labe Industries, manufacturers of polymer magazines and accessories for the FN SCAR and AR rifle platforms, has signed on to become a Gold Sponsor for the Second Annual Aaron Vaughn Memorial Frogman Swim, hosted by Operation 300, a non-profit foundation designed to create a week long experience for children who have lost their fathers as a result of service to our country.

The Second Annual Aaron Vaughn Memorial Frogman Swim will be held at Jensen Beach Park, Florida on June 29th, 2013.

The Second Annual Aaron Vaughn Memorial Frogman Swim is an open water (fixed buoy course) Atlantic Ocean swim created to honor one of America’s finest, Aaron Vaughn. There is a 200 yard swim for beginners, a 1K course for intermediate swimmers and a 5K course for advanced swimmers. There is also a 50 yard “tadpole” swim and flipper run for the “little froggies.” Every swimmer in the 1K, 5K and 200 yard swim will receive a one-of-a-kind Forged T-shirt. The first 100 registrants will also receive a commemorative bag filled with goodies.

In 2012, the inaugural event attracted over 250 swimmers and more than 2,000 attendees. Proceeds from the 2013 event will be used to continue the mission of Operation 300. This year another SEAL family will be honored at the event. Naval Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Patrick D. Feeks was KIA August 16th, 2012. His family will be in attendance and have even put together a team to swim in his honor.

“We are so honored to bring in Molon Labe Industries this year as a Gold Level Sponsor,” remarked Operation 300 President Tara Vaughn Baldwin. “They will have a presence on the beach the day of the swim. We are hoping that this year’s event will be even bigger and better than last years!”

“When we learned about the Second Annual Aaron Vaughn Frogman Swim, we were more than happy to sign on as Gold Sponsors,” commented Chris Gleason, President and Founder of Molon Labe Industries. “This is a great event that we are proud to support and we look forward to our continued support of the Operation 300 foundation.”

Operation 300, the host of the annual event, was founded by Tara Vaughn Baldwin in honor and memory of her brother Elite Navy SEAL Aaron Carson Vaughn who was tragically killed on August 6, 2011 when a Chinook chopper carrying 30 American troops was shot down in Afghanistan. The goal of the foundation is to give children who have lost so much the opportunity to live like Aaron, if only for a short time.
