To honor the 129 victims of the Paris attacks who lost their lives and to show support for France, the city of Milwaukee constructed a 40-foot Eiffel Tower outside of the City Hall.
Kim Morris, Executive Director of East Town Association, which owns the tower, said Milwaukee has a French community and she believes at this time it’s important to show respect. The mini tower, she said, was a great way to do it and came at the request of numerous residents. Once the tower was completed, a prayer vigil was held for the victims.
