USA--(Ammoland.com)- On Tuesday evening, August 14, longtime shooting industry executive, Mike Jordan was inducted into the Trap Shooting Hall Of Fame. Jordan has spent most of his life shooting and working in the shooting industry.
“I have heard many people say that Mike Jordan is the most knowledgeable person they know when it comes to shooting products,” said Kevin Howard, President of Howard Communications Inc. “What many of those people may not know is that Mike is also one of the best shotgun shooters in the world, especially in trap shooting.”
Jordan has won hundreds of trap shooting events in his career and been named an ATA All-American 19 times and Captain eight times. In his career Jordan has shot over 365,000 registered targets and thousands more in practice and for fun.
In 1981, Jordan won the World Flyer Shooting Championship in Spain securing the Cup of Madrid for the USA.
Mike also had a part in helping reigning Olympic Gold Medal winner Kim Rhode early in her career. Kim’s dad was looking for a low recoil target load for Kim to practice with when she was in her early teens and called on Mike to help him out. The load Mike came up with helped Kim keep shooting 1,000 rounds of practice every day. The results of that practice speak for themselves.
“Mike is a great shooter and a wealth of information on shooting products,” says Howard. “He is one of nicest and most respected people ever to pick up a shotgun. I’ve worked with Mike for almost 25 years and never had anyone say a bad thing about him. It is great to see him receive such a high honor from his peers. All of us at Howard Communications, Inc. want to congratulate Mike on this outstanding achievement.”
