PEVELY, MO (Ammoland.com) – Midwest Gun Works Inc. (MGW), a one-stop shop for firearms parts, accessories and gunsmithing services, launched the Mec-Gar Magazine Category at Midwestgunworks.com. Mec-Gar, the industry leader in aftermarket magazines, is just the newest product line-up to be introduced in 2014 at MGW.
Mec-Gar produces affordable, quality magazines and has an excellent reputation for reliability within the military, law enforcement, personal defense and sport shooting communities. Today, many leading firearms manufacturers use Mec-Gar magazines under their own brand banners.
MGW carries 56 variants of Mec-Gar handgun magazines from today’s leading firearms brands, such as: SIG SAUER, Taurus, Bersa, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Walther, CZ, Kimber, Beretta, Para Ordnance, Browning, EAA Witness, Springfield Armory and Luger and 1911 magazines.
The Mec-Gar 1911 Anti-Friction magazine .45 ACP features an increased capacity for 8-rounds. The anti-friction component is a lubricated nylon polymer follower with a metal insert where the slide stop activates. It properly aligns all types of ammunition for reliable, quick feeding. Made from certified carbon steel, the magazine is TIG welded with no seams and heat treated for added durability. In stock for $18.75.
MGW also carries the SIG SAUER Classics pistol magazines for the P226 in .40/.357 and 9mm in 10, 13, 15 and 18-rounds, the P228 9mm in 15-rounds and the SIG PRO 2022 9mm in 17-rounds.
The SIG PRO 2022 magazine is a patented magazine that provides two additional rounds without increasing the magazine’s dimensions. The flush-fit design fits SIG SAUER P228 and older P229 pistols with the flat-sided narrow magazine (not for use in P229 E2 pistols). The carbon steel magazine with polymer follower and removable steel butt-plate encases a higher tensile music wire spring. Available online for $29.82.
