Columbia, MO -(Ammoland.com)- Several youth shooting teams will see an increase in their Team Endowment Account with the MidwayUSA Foundation thanks to a recent donation made by the South Carolina Youth Shooting Foundation.
The donation of $220,000 was divided between 31 South Carolina teams and will assist in establishing permanent funding for each of these teams.
Dick Leeper, Executive Director of the MidwayUSA Foundation says, “Working with state partners like the South Carolina Youth Shooting Foundation is a win-win. Our partners help us reach many teams on a state level and we’re able to ensure the donations are going directly to the teams in their state or region. Partnerships like this one are contributing to the growth of shooting sports and providing more opportunities for our youth.”
Along with donations like this one, teams can grow their Team Endowment Account through soliciting private donations, earnings, and conducting fundraisers. Now, through the end of November, private donations sent to the MidwayUSA Foundation are matched 2:1. Active teams can apply to draw up to 5% of their account balance, once per year, to use for team expenses, such as, ammunition, range fees, targets, uniforms, travel and more. Currently, over 1,900 shooting teams have an active Team Endowment Account with the MidwayUSA Foundation.
