Columbia, MO -(AmmoLand.com)- The MidwayUSA Foundation is proud to announce the election of Dick Leeper to the role of President of the Board of Directors.
At the recent Board meeting held in Columbia, Missouri on August 16, Dick was unanimously elected to the role of President. Larry Potterfield, the previous President of the Board of Directors (2007 – August 2016) has chosen to step down from the President role while still remaining on the Board.
Larry Potterfield mentioned in his statement to the Board that, “He could think of no one more qualified to turn the gavel over to than Dick Leeper.”
Dick is very familiar with the operations of the MidwayUSA Foundation, having served as its Executive Director from 2009 until his recent retirement in late 2015. Dick was instrumental in developing the core processes and expansion of the Team Endowment Account Program that is the strength of the MidwayUSA Foundation today. Over the last 5 years, Team Endowment totals rose from $5.8 million to $79 million. These impactful results of the vision put in place to give youth shooting programs the ability to establish a sustainable funding source speaks to the great leadership provided while Dick was the Executive Director.
