Indianapolis, IN –-(Ammoland.com)- EHP president Denny Snyder recently announced that pro staffer and world champion speed shooter Max Michel claimed another regional title in the USPSA with his recent win at the Area 5 championships in the Open division. The USPSA Area 5 had 337 competitors from 22 different states coming from as far away as Canada for this event. The Area 5 core covers shooters from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio , West Virginia and Wisconsin.

“With another outstanding performance, against strong competition, I think it’s safe to say that Max is USPSA’s number one ranked Open shooter,” said Michael Voigt, president of USPSA.

Voigt added – “One of the most difficult things to do in our sport is claim all eight regional titles, but Max has clearly shown with this third straight win that he has the competitive focus, and certainly the skill, to run the table in 2010”

Michel won the Area 6 and Area 4 regional titles earlier this year and most recently won the Norwegian National title a few weeks earlier. Michel, who is the reigning national champion, put in a dominating performance, winning eight of 12 stages and leading the field of 84 from start to finish, claiming his third consecutive Open division regional title of the shooting season.

Hosted by the Tri County Gun Club in Polo, Ill., the Area 5 match grew 22.5% over the previous year with top shooters competing for a title in one of six divisions.

Michel stated -” Area 5 was an extremely challenging match and the weather conditions made it even worse. I made some key mistakes early on and found my self trailing the leader early with a big deficit”.

“EHP not only provided me with the best comfort and protection but also quality sound which allowed my reaction time to get to the gun a bit faster than the competition. After being so far behind early on, EHP was instrumental in helping me make one of my better come backs in my shooting career”.

The goal of EHP is to be represented by the ‘Best of the Best’ and also takes pride that the electronic muffs are made in the USA- a rarity in today’s changing economy. The entire EHP line of products are available online and through the SIG SAUER Shooting Academy and will eventually be available through most major sporting goods stores and retailers. Dealer inquiries are welcome.
