When authorities in Michigan responded to a call at a Lowell Township ranch, they were met by a very large and angry bull blocking their way to the property.
The bull, who was named Gus, attacked and mortally wounded his 71-year-old owner, Roger Bearup, as the man attempted to corral the animal. But authorities could not get to the man to offer assistance because the bull stood in their way.
Eventually, deputies decided to take action, gathered their rifles and fired at the bull. It took a total of 33 shots to put the animal down, and by that time, Bearup was already dead.
