An explosion at the National Institute of Standards and Technology building in Gaithersburg, Maryland, last weekend led to the discovery of what appeared to be a lab where methamphetamine was being manufactured. Tell-tale signs included pseudoephedrine, drain cleaner and a recipe for meth.
A federal security officer, who incidentally resigned the day after the 25-foot explosion, suffered non-life threatening burns on his hands and arms.
Local law enforcement, along with the DEA, are investigating the incident.
