BLAINE, MN –-(Ammoland.com)- Come meet Dan Coonan, inventor and designer of the Coonan 1911 .357 Magnum pistol.
The legendary gun designer will be at the Coonan Inc. table #301 at the Brownells Gunsmith Conference and Career Fair, on Tuesday, April 2nd only at the Marriot Downtown in Des Moines, IA.
Use this opportunity to shake the hand that fired the world’s first .357 Magnum Automatic, and get and autograph from the innovator whose work changed the 1911 industry.
“I really enjoy talking to the younger gunsmiths and firearms fans,” says Dan Coonan. “Our industry’s getting older, and we need fresh blood to keep us relevant.”
Dan also wants other gunsmiths to see just how compatible the Coonan .357’s parts are with regular 1911-style pistols.
“Working on the Coonan .357 is very similar to working on a 1911,” adds Coonan. “Gunsmiths will see and appreciate the similarities. At least until they shoot ours. Then they’ll see the difference.”
