McLaughlin endorsed by the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, receives an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association.
New York –-(Ammoland.com)- The New York State Rifle and Pistol Association (NYSRPA), the state’s largest and the nation’s oldest pro Second Amendment civil rights organization, proudly announced the endorsement of Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin for state assembly in the 107th Assembly district on November 6 2012.
NYSRPA said the endorsement was given to McLaughlin because he has been a man of his word and delivered as promised, standing strong on Second Amendment issues sportsmen across New York hold near and dear.
“Steve McLaughlin has been a dedicated advocate for the sportsmen and gun owners in the Capital Region,” said Tom King, President, New York State Rifle and Pistol Association. “I am proud to endorse Steve, who is my Assemblyman, for re-election, and I urge my fellow sportsmen in Rensselaer, Columbia and Washington counties to get the vote out for Steve. He is one of us!”
“I am honored to be endorsed by New York State Rifle and Pistol Association,” said McLaughlin. “I believe that every New Yorker has the right to protect themselves, their family and their property. That’s why I have and will continue to oppose any measure that curbs the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms, including the microstamping measure currently before the legislature.”
In addition to NYSRPA, McLaughlin has also been endorsed and received an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association and is a lifetime member.
