Milner, GA -(Ammoland.com)- One trip to the property with the perfect food-plot implement; The Firminator, can result in a season of continuous high-protein, nutritious food for your deer herd.
Compared to maintaining a supplemental feeding program, food plots simply provide more bang for the buck. When using a Firminator to put your plots in the ground, you truly maximize your food-plot investment. Ten tons of forage per acre; that’s the amount of food you can give your deer herd with a well-prepared food plot.
Supplemental feed has gained in popularity, and some hunters might think that’s the easy way out. But it would cost about $2,000 to provide 10 tons of high-protein feed, not to mention the time and effort it takes to drive to your property to re-fill feeders. With a Firminator, you hook up just one time to one implement, and you’re ready to do all the work required to put in a well-prepared food plot, at a fraction of the cost it takes for a supplemental feed program.
The Firminator will do all the necessary work of planting a food plot from start to finish. It is three tools on one piece of equipment that allows you to easily tackle any food plot task. The operator has the flexibility to perform tasks one at a time or simultaneously. Certain planting situations allow you to disk, drop seed, and cultipack all at the same time in just one pass. The Firminator food plot implement is the ideal piece of equipment for hunting food plots and deer management.
The first step with planting any food plot is turning the dirt. With a Firminator, the disk angles are adjusted easily by the removal of a pin and sliding the pivoting disk beam. Choose from straight, 5, 10, 15, and 20 degree angle settings. You can set the aggressiveness of the disk angles suitable to loosen your particular soil type and situation. The Firminator also comes standard with disk blade scrapers to prevent mud and vegetation build-up, and it comes with an adjustable center-ripper shank to cut the margin of soil between the two center blades.
After turning the dirt, it’s time to spread the seed. The Accu-Seed System is another incredible feature of The Firminator. It handles seeds of all sizes from the tiniest of clovers up to corn, soybeans, peas and sunflowers. The Accu-Seed System is ground driven, so the seed is metered out relative to the speed you are traveling. When the Firminator stops rolling, the seed stops falling. Simply set the size for the largest seed in the hopper, and the metering system will dispense the seed at the generally accepted rate.
Once the seed is spread, good seed-to-soil contact is important. The Firminator comes standard with 9-inch diameter cultipacker wheels to ensure your seed is in contact with the soil for proper germination. Now, a 16-inch diameter upgrade is also available for the Firminator. The new 16-inch cultipacker will prevent soil from flowing up and over the wheels and will effectively cultipack even the most sandy and flour-like soils.
The Firminator has become synonymous with having the highest-quality design, components and construction of any product on the market. Made in the U.S.A by Ranew’s Outdoor Equipment, the Firminator G-3 is now available in 8 Foot, 6 Foot and 4 Foot models, plus there’s a 3 Foot model designed for ATV use. Any planting situation can be tackled, from a small plot that’s a fraction of an acre to a 1,000-acre field.
Once the Firminator is hooked up to your tractor or 4-wheeler, you’re ready to do all the work required to prepare a great food plot. The Firminator gets that food-plot work done right, and it will maximize your food plot dollars.
