Merrimack, N.H. (Ammoland.com) – Chamber-View, LLC, a sponsor of 3-Gun shooter Matt Holmes, is pleased to announce a strong finish for Holmes in the Amateur Division at the Brownells Rockcastle 3-Gun Pro-Am held at the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, KY August 22nd – 24th, 2014.
Holmes placed first in Stage 3 “Hoodie Stage” and finished 18th out of 246 competitors in the Tac Ops Division. He also placed a strong 23rd Overall out of 280 match competitors. To see the full match results, please visit the official results page.
“This is my third year participating in the Brownells Rockcastle 3-Gun Pro-Am and I always look forward to the challenging, yet fun stages. My performance was good, with just a few rookie mistakes that ended up affecting my overall placement. With a Stage Win as my motivation, I’ll be back next year with lessons learned and plans for an Amateur Division win!” remarked Holmes.
He continued, “It’s just great to be a part of the largest 3-Gun match in the world with around 500 competitors in attendance. I also enjoy the opportunity to meet and thank the vendors and manufacturers who sponsor this match and really support the sport of 3-Gun. About Matt Holmes:
Holmes is a competitive shooter and firearms instructor who currently works within the firearms industry and aspires to make a career honing his shooting skills and imparting his knowledge to others. He is an IDPA Safety Officer, Safety Officer Instructor and has achieved “Master” classification in Stock Service Pistol (SSP), Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) and Custom Defensive Pistol (CDP), as well as “Expert” in Stock Service Revolver (SSR). Holmes is also an NRA certified Basic Pistol Instructor, a Colt Defense AR-15/M-16 Armorer and a Smith and Wesson M&P Armorer. He has recently acquired his “Master Firearms Instructor” certifications in Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun through the SIG Sauer Academy in Epping, NH. Holmes has been employed in retail firearm sales for the past seven years, excelling in firearm and accessory sales and customer service.
