MasterPiece Arms introduced a new injection molded grip, Enhanced Vertical Grip designed for the company’s MPA BA Chassis System.

The EVG grip offers a truely vertical interface with the MPA BA rifle and features an enlarged palm swell, trigger finger support rest and enhanced thumb notch. Additionally, the grip comes with the company’s special grip tape for better contact while shooting.

Boasting a standard A2 Type interface, the EVG isn’t just limited to the BA Chassis System. The grip can fit, with potential minor modifications, onto other rifles, carbines and chassis’ utilizing the A2 style grip. Due to the EVG’s solid, injection molded component, the grip serves up strength and durability which means it easily survives polishing, grinding, sanding and other modifications.

President of MasterPiece Arms Phil Cashin said in a press release that the idea for the new grip came from last year’s PRS Champion David Preston.

“David’s idea was that having a grip that extended to support your trigger finger would help the shooter have better trigger control and a smoother trigger pull when he finds himself in an improvised or unnatural shooting position. I took his suggestion to heart, mocked up the design, created a working prototype and then tested it out and it worked!” Cashin said.

Available in right handed configurations in black, the EVG will soon ship standard on all new rifles and chassis systems. Shooters that want that EVG performance on their current platform can purchase the grip from MasterPiece Arms for $39.95.
