The historic recruiting slogan “The Few, The Proud” is going on hiatus starting next month as the Marine Corps tries out news advertising ideas.
Spokesmen told the newspaper they want to highlight what the exactly Marines do: making Marines, winning battles and returning quality citizens.
The tagline, which has been used since 1977, will be temporarily replaced with the word “Marines” and the Corps’ eagle, globe and anchor emblem.
