A 20-year-old man accused of raping a 72-year-old woman in Vicksburg, Mississippi, landed in the emergency room last week after suffering a severe beating at the hands of another inmate while in jail.
Jacorey Thomas was jailed after he was arrested on charges of sexual battery, rape, armed robbery, home invasion and kidnapping. Thomas’ accomplice, Mark Carver, Jr., is facing charges for home invasion, armed robbery, and credit card fraud for his part in the same crime.
According to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, Thomas was originally taken to a local hospital, but later transferred to another facility. His current condition is unknown.
