An Oakland man armed with a video game gun detained a would-be home intruder who broke into his home Sunday morning.
The resident, 24, was playing a video game when around 11:30 a.m. the suspect, 23-year-old Kymarr Freeman, came into the home. The resident pulled out a toy gun used to interact with certain video games and held the suspect captive, the local CBS-affiliate.
Freeman quickly surrendered and said he was in the house because he was looking for someone else. But the resident didn’t buy it and held the crook at “gunpoint” until police arrived.
Freeman was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and possessing an instrument of crime.
