Springfield, MO –-(Ammoland.com)- A brand new, crazy different TV show about hunting and bowfishing is debuting on Sportsman Channel in 2015.
Viewers of The Habit can check out the wild adventures of Bass Pro Shops® John Paul Morris along with Chuck Belmore and Jon Justice of Ironman Bowfishing TV.
Catch the new show on Sundays at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time on Sportsman Channel beginning Jan. 4.
Morris, Belmore and Justice travel the country doing everything from hunting elk out west and whitetail in Kentucky to shooting carp in Missouri and chasing sharks along the Gulf. The trio has partnered with Sub7 (The Crush with Lee and Tiffany, Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors), a well-known name in outdoor television production, for this fast-paced, personality driven show.
The Habit is way more than hunting and bowfishing. It’s about three great friends having a blast living a true outdoor lifestyle and juggling their day jobs amid all the madness. The Habit is hosted by Morris, an accomplished hunter and RedHead® Pro Hunting Team member; Belmore, a Georgia native and 2011 World Bowfishing Champion; and avid outdoorsman, Jon Justice.
When not chasing big game or arrowing carp, Morris heads up Bass Pro Shops online store while Belmore operates his local plumbing business, and Justice stays busy as an asphalt/concrete contractor. Despite their busy lives, they find time to enjoy those outdoor habits that have become second nature.
“Some habits such as bowfishing and hunting are way too fun and are definitely not meant to be broken,” said Morris. “The outdoors is a way of life for Chuck, Jon and me, and we work hard to juggle work schedules and family time so we can feed our outdoor habits. We’re pumped that we can share the great times we’ve had in the field with Sportsman Channel viewers.”
Belmore and Justice met Morris a few years ago while on location in Mississippi shooting for Ironman Bowfishing, the first ever bowfishing-only show on TV.
“We got together and shot some fish and the rest was history. The three of us have been best friends ever since,” Belmore said. “After we found out we shared an unhealthy bowfishing habit, we knew there was bound to be more stuff we all loved getting into. Turns out there was. From our shared passions for hunting and bowfishing and backgrounds in TV, it was only natural to bring our adventures to TV screens across the country.”
In the last couple of years, Justice has spent much of his outdoor time behind the camera as lead field producer of Ironman Bowfishing. He’s described as the kind of guy who is always up for anything, ready to rock no matter what the destination is. This attitude meant he could no longer be contained behind the camera, and he now looks forward to bringing his outdoor flair to living rooms across the country in front of the camera.
In addition to the Sunday at 8:30 p.m. airing, viewers can also tune into Sportsman Channel to catch The Habit on Mondays at 4 p.m. Eastern time and Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. Eastern time. For more information, visit http://thehabit.tv/.
