USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Wingshooting USA TV creator-host Scott Linden has launched the “Upland Nation” podcast, an informative, concise discussion intent on helping listeners become better dog owners, bird hunters, conservationists, and shooters.
“Upland Nation is dedicated to intelligent, practical, relevant talk about subjects that matter to bird hunters and dog owners, without all the extraneous stuff,” Linden said. “I’m trying to get to the meat of the matter, respecting listeners’ time and sticking to topics important to listeners.”
The podcast is an outgrowth of both his television experience and almost 20 years producing and hosting radio shows for Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines, where he interviewed everyone from rock stars to elected officials. Unlike those media with strict time/format constraints, a podcast can delve deeply into a subject or personality, drilling down to more technical points and details, he said. In addition to high-profile guests, Upland Nation also showcases a public-access hunting spot and features a dog training tip, listener question/answer, knowledge quiz, and prize in every episode.
Guests on the inaugural episodes now available include Montana pro guide Al Gadoury, Field & Stream’s shotgun editor Phil Bourjaily, author-photographer Craig Koshyk, “Hunting with Hank” host Dez Young, magazine writer/author Dave Carty and Gun Dog magazine editor emeritus Rick Van Etten.
Charter Upland Nation sponsors include Dakota 283 dog kennels, Sage & Braker Mercantile gun care products, ESP America hearing protection, and Dogtra training/tracking collars. It is available on all podcast download sites including Stitcher, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Linden’s YouTube channel, and at the podcast’s own site: www.uplandnation.com.
