Nestled between Leupold’s VX-6HD and VX-3i scope lines is the newly announced VX-5HD optic, designed for hunters who push themselves and their gear to the limit.
The VX-5HD is available in 1-5x24mm, 2-10x42mm and 3-15x56mm with all models featuring a 30mm maintube. Equipped with a variety of reticles, the scope boasts options such as the Duplex, FireDot 4, Wind-Plex, Boone and Crockett Big Game and Impact-29 MOA.
The scope is outfitted with a 5x erector assembly and CDS-ZL2 adjustments. These adjustments provide a secure locking dial and allow shooters to calibrate the scope to the specific rifle and load using Leupold’s Custom Dial System technology.
Twilight Max Light Management System delivers high definition performance for a crisp, clear image in a variety of light scenarios.
Leupold says the new scope is ready to help hunters tackle any game.
“Every year, more hunters are going beyond their comfort zone to take on ever bigger adventures,” Tim Lesser, vice president of product development for Leupold & Stevens, Inc, said in a statement. “The VX-5HD is designed and built to help these hunters expand their hunts from bigger game to more challenging areas. If you can dream it, the VX-5HD can hunt it.”
The base models are priced at $909 with the high end model topping out at $1,429.
