Bend, Oregon (Ammoland.Com) – Kristy Titus, NRA Certified Instructor and Cabela’s Ambassador, has been on a cross-country journey with two other ladies through the Cascade Mountains to rediscover American values in NRA News’ “I Am Forever” series, hosted by Titus and sponsored by FNH USA. In Episode Four, the ladies reflect on their separate, five-mile solo journey from the day before. All ladies agreed that success is hard work – and well worth the price paid. “I Am Forever” is the story of the American dream, told from three perspectives.
In Episode 4, “Hard Work,” Greek immigrant, Nick, remembers seizing every work opportunity with relish as soon as he arrived in America. From working as bus boy to moving up to caddy by day and waiter at night – he knew he had “arrived.” Also in this episode, Kristy, Faith and Jessi continue sharpening their handgun skills on the range with Caylen Wojcik, Director of Operations for Magpul CORE.
American culture is at a crisis point. For people to be self-governed, they must first govern themselves. Titus along with Faith, a military wife and stay-at-home-mom and Jessi, a single woman, will be taking on skills they never imagined and will journey across 25 miles of mountain terrain carrying everything they need on their backs. They’ll learn to navigate with map and compass and eventually navigate their own way across the mountains in complete darkness. The ladies also learn other survival skills such as making a raft out of a poncho and making a Swiss Seat harness to rappel 200 feet down a cliff.
Within the current climate of our country, we are at risk of changing into something that will no longer afford the opportunity of the American dream. Now is the time that within our homes, our communities and throughout our country we need to cultivate a climate that grows personal responsibility, self-sufficiency and the value of hard work and determination. That is the climate that has led to the success of our country; we must protect that environment before it is gone. Join these three ladies in their journey for the second season of “I Am Forever.”
