“Under the Gun” producer Katie Couric and America’s top gun control philanthropist former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg slapstick their way through a two-minute public health ad.
Celebrating the 100th year anniversary of Johns Hopkins’ public health programs– who house the Bloomberg School of Public Health and just picked up a $300 million donation from the former Mayor– the spot highlights public health and safety successes over the past several decades.
Sure, it’s not directly gun related, or is it? I mean its not like Bloomberg founded Mayors Against Illegal Guns, funds Everytown for Gun Safety and contributes millions to voter initiatives and anti-gun politicians and Couric’s treatment of the pro-gun community is beyond reproach, right?
