Hugo, MN –-(Ammoland.com)- With the close of the month, multiple top shooters at two prestigious national-level matches went on to victory using AR-style rifles from JP Enterprises.
Sponsored by POF-USA, the Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun took place over the weekend of March 28-30 at the Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, AZ.
With more than 350 shooters competing across eleven challenging stages, JP rifles rose to the top in the Open division with Team JP shooter Tony Holmes locking in first place shooting a JP CTR-02. At the same time, team shooter Kelly Neal took first in the Heavy Metal Limited division shooting a JP LRP-07, followed closely by Michael Payne, also shooting an LRP-07.
These victories came right on the heels of the week-long USASOC International Sniper Competition. This pinnacle-level event drew 19 of the most elite military and law enforcement marksman teams to Fort Bragg, NC for a demanding trial of marksmanship and endurance with shots ranging out to 1200 meters.
For the second year, the Army Marksmanship Unit of SSG Daniel Horner and Spc. Tyler Payne took first place at the event with Horner serving as support shooter with his LRP-07. The AMU’s margin of victory was a slim one shot ahead of the second place Army sniper team of and Neil Hudspeth with a dual-charging PSC-12 as their support rifle. On top of this, Team JP shooter Clark Kennedy also took second place in the USASOC 3-Gun side match.
“Wins like this are our highest recommendation,” said JP founder John Paul, “the kind that cannot be purchased, only earned.” JP, which originally made its name catering to the competition 3-Gun market has deliberately expanded in recent years to add focus on duty weapons for law enforcement and military operators. Wins like these, says John Paul, show that the JP both understands the great demands of high-level shooters in these arenas and has succeeded in meeting them.
