National Organization Onsite to Showcase Great American Hunters Tour.
CARLISLE, PA –-(Ammoland.com)- During each hunting season, enthusiasts set out into the wilderness for multiple reasons, including the chance to land a trophy.
Some trophies are bigger than others are and of those large prizes, some are even showcased as part of a nationwide tour. That tour, known as the Great American Hunters Tour, is coming to Carlisle in 2013 for the Carlisle Sports and Outdoor Nationals, September 6-8 2013 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds.
While some organizations reached out to Carlisle Events beginning in late 2012 following the announcement of the first-ever Carlisle-backed sports and outdoors show, this activity came about following conversations initiated by event manager Scott Amig. After the initial conversations, locking into the new show was an easy choice for the NRA due to Pennsylvania’s many licensed hunters, fisherman and in general, those who have an interest in the outdoors – all of which are expected to attend.
“September is the time of year where hunters are getting ready for the upcoming hunting seasons,” noted Bob Davis of the NRA. “An event like this will give them the opportunity to make final preparations before taking to the field!”
In addition to having their name and organization associated with Carlisle Events, the NRA believes that the weekend and venue give them the opportunity to promote what they do for hunters overall and allow for enthusiasts to talk about the upcoming season with members of their staff. Also, the NRA is excited to meet potential new members.
Once onsite for the three-day weekend, not only will NRA reps be talking with guests, they’ll also be showcasing a varying array of Whitetail buck. As part of the NRA Great American Hunters Tour, everyone who comes to Carlisle can see a display of 12 of the largest typical and non-typical Whitetail buck from the NRA Great American Whitetail Collection. The display allows for an up close and personal look at these amazing creatures and everyone can take photos of the collection too.
In addition to this great display and partnership with the NRA, show goers can experience some of the best hunting, fishing and outdoor-themed activities around. From family fun to unique displays, special guests and demonstrations, the weekend truly has it all. A complete list of all weekend activities is available online via www.CarlisleSportOutdoor.com.
