Titusville, FL –“Our country is in peril,” gun rights expert John M. Snyder said here today.
“Americans need their firearms for protection from this peril,” he added.
“The peril comes from radical Islamists, such as those from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), or simply the Islamic State (IS),” he added.
“These Islamists behead Americans and others, as has been reported widely in recent weeks,” he continued.
“Radical Islamists are here,” noted Snyder. “They also can come to the United States through Mexico and other places,” he said.
In West Orange, New Jersey on June 25, Brendan Tevlin was murdered in what New York radio station WPLJ host Todd Pettengill said this month “was in fact an act of jihad, perpetrated by a fellow American who sympathized more with those who want to annihilate us than with his own country and his people.”
In the Tevlin case, a perpetrator charged with the murder has confessed to it, “along with three others in Washington State, saying they were carried out as retribution for innocent lives lost in Iraq, Syria and other parts of the Islamic world,” reported NJ.com.
Francis Taylor, under secretary for intelligence and analysis at the Department of Homeland Security, told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on September 10 that IS personnel have discussed infiltrating the United States through its border with Mexico. He said IS adherents across the globe have spoken about that as a possibility on Twitter and social media exchanges, according to Newsmax.
Snyder said, “Obama ignores these threats in his speeches. Government does not stop them. Homeland Security says it can’t.”
Newsmax reported September 10, “Amid growing fears that Americans and Europeans trained by the Islamic State (ISIS) could enter the United States to stage terror attacks comes news that there isn’t much if anything Homeland Security can do to stop it.”
Jennifer Laskey, deputy undersecretary at the Department of Homeland Security, told the House Committee on Homeland Security September 10 that, “We don’t have a fulsome picture in all cases.”

Rep. Mike McCaul (R-TX), Committee Chairman, said the government has only estimates of how many Americans are members of IS. He said there are “potentially thousands and we do not know who they are.”
According to Newsmax, between 100 and 200 Americans “are believed to have trained with ISIS in Syria.”
Snyder said, “People can stop terror attacks with firearms. That is language radical Islamists can understand. Americans need their guns to defend life and freedom.
“Gun controllers be damned. They are enemies of American life and freedom.”
