Federal Heights, Col –-(AmmoLand.com)- A new suite of public service announcements produced by the International Hunter Education Association and Remington Outdoor Foundation promote fundamental safety messages supported by the IHEA.

The public service announcements focus on IHEA’s core messages such as “Hunting is safe,” “Hunters are committed to safety” and “The four basic rules of firearms handling.” In addition, they are available in a variety of sizes and formats for print, web and video and can be customized with an agency or organization’s logo and web address.

“I strongly urge every website, newspaper and magazine editor, every TV network, show producer and blogger to incorporate these public service announcements into their work,” said Tim Lawhern, president of IHEA.

“The messages are immediately understood, inspiring and extremely important. Not only do they serve as critical reminders to those within the hunting community, they show nonhunters just how committed we are to developing hunters who are safe, responsible and knowledgeable. That is vital to enhancing our image as hunters and thus upholding our hunting traditions long into the future.”

IHEA’s new public service announcements are available for viewing and downloading at Remington Outdoor Foundation’s website, OutdoorRoadmap.com, which is poised to become the preeminent online source for information and services for hunters, target shooters and conservationists.

“Remington Outdoor Foundation believes the efforts of hunter education instructors are one of the greatest untold success stories. And we want to help spread the word of how the IHEA, wildlife agencies and volunteer hunter education instructors have worked together to make hunting one of the safest forms of outdoor recreation,” said Jim Moore, president of Remington Outdoor Foundation.
