A determined robber was relentlessly trying to break into a car parked outside of a pub in Drogheda, Ireland, when things suddenly backfired on him.
The suspect had tried using a number of smaller rocks to break the car’s window, all to no avail. Finally, the suspect grabbed a brick and chucked it at the window. However, the brick bounced off of the window and flew back, boomerang style, squarely hitting him in the face and knocking him to the ground.
A short time later, Gerry Brady, owner of the pub and also the targeted vehicle, walked out to find the suspect lying on the ground in a pool of blood. At first, he and his girlfriend thought that the man was a victim of an assault or hit and run, but it didn’t take them long to realize that wasn’t the case. The suspect soon begged Brady for cab fare and when he refused, began threatening the pub owner. Brady instead called the police, who quickly apprehended the man.
After authorities left, Brady reviewed the surveillance video, which gave him and all those watching a good laugh before turning it into authorities.
