United Kingdom –-(Ammoland.com)- It really is a Glorious 12th August for Fieldsports Channel.

The hunting/shooting/fishing TV channel celebrates its fourth birthday on the opening of the grouse-shooting/hunting season in the UK with new figures showing it is the advertisers’ choice in its market.

Fieldsports Channel has a SlateScore of 432 making it the top hunting/shooting channel for advertisers on YouTube after ESPN and FuelTV. In the fishing market, it is only beaten by RedBull and ESPN (NB AndrewSchrock is a skateboard brand where ‘hunt’ and ‘shoot’ are keywords).

RedBull, ESPN and FuelTV only occasionally cover hunting, shooting and fishing. Fieldsports Channel is dedicated to these subjects.

The SlateScore is the standard for advertising/creative agencies working out which YouTube channels to place advertising.

With 250,000+ views a week on YouTube and now Youku, Fieldsports Channel gets more views than the weekly reach of satellite channel Fox News in the UK, and twice the weekly reach of the satellite Horse & Country channel.

“We always knew we would be able to take on and exceed the specialist consumer magazines in our market,” says Fieldsports Channel’s Charlie Jacoby. “That’s why we have attracted sponsorship from forward-thinking industry giants including Zeiss, Browning, RUAG Ammotec and Skinners Petfoods.

“Because of our global reach we are attractive to manufacturing headquarters as well as national distributors. This year has seen us make and put out programmes from the USA, Australia, China and continental Europe as well as our base in the UK. We intend to build on that reach.”

Fieldsports Channel produces a half-hour weekly online TV programme about the best of British hunting, shooting and fishing.

Launched in 2009, it achieves 1 million+ views a month.
