Hornady gives hunters two new loads of 300 WSM to tackle the wild, now offering the 300 WSM in a 165 grain GMX or 200 grain ELD-X.
The ammunition maker announced Thursday in a press release that the new loads are currently shipping to dealers.
The 165 grain GMX Superformance pairs the GMX bullet with “ultra-progressive propellants” that the company says takes the bullet to a level of performance no attainable by standard propellants. The GMX bullets are constructed from tough, copper-alloy and deliver controlled expansion while maintaining 95 percent weight retention.
Joining the Superformance is the 200 grain ELD-X Precision Hunter. The 300 WSM load supplies what Hornady says is the “best performing bullet available in a precision hunting load” to shooters. The ELD-X bullet is a match accurate bullet that offers consistent, controlled expansion at all practical hunting distances.
A box of 20 Precision Hunters will set shooters back $58.11, while a box of 20 Superformance is priced at $62.53.
