Security agents from Heathrow airport confiscated Woody’s tiny gun before allowing the “Toy Story” doll’s owner to board his plane.
The unidentified Reddit user uploaded his story, saying that after security scrutinized the doll they relieved it of the toy revolver. The father mentioned that while he has flown numerous times with the same figurine, this was the first time he encountered an issue, Daily Mail reports.
“I have travelled the world with Toy Story’s Woody, taking pics for my son,” the father posted to Reddit. “At Heathrow, security just confiscated his “weapon”, keep the world safe boys…” [sic]
A spokesperson for the Department For Transport wouldn’t comment about the incident involving the toy cowboy, but said security agents reserve the right to confiscate any item they deem a threat.
“We do not comment on specific incidents or details of our security regime,” the spokesperson said. “Airports and airlines can use their discretion to remove any item being carried in hand luggage when they believe it may be perceived as a threat.”
Update: A previous version of this article incorrectly identified Heathrow’s security as TSA.
