USA – -(Ammoland.com)- For the fifth consecutive year, GunBroker.com has proven its support of the shooting sports by serving as Official Hospitality Sponsor of the Jack Robertson Invitational Sporting Clays Shoot.
The Jack Robertson Invitational will mark its 17th consecutive year of fund-raising on behalf of the hunting and shooting sports on Thursday, May 26 2016. The shoot was originally organized by the National Shooting Sports Foundation as a retirement party for long-time employee and well-known clay-target shooter, Jack Robertson. The first shoot was so popular that NSSF was encouraged to repeat the event the following year and the shoot quickly became one of the most anticipated events on the New England sporting clays calendar.
“GunBroker.com has been a sponsor of the Jack Robertson Sporting Clays Invitational since 2012. We have been privileged to support this. event alongside many of the leading names in our industry, helping the Hunting Heritage Trust raise in excess of $350,000 in support of our hunting and shooting sports heritage,” commented Don Hall, GunBroker.com Chief Operating Officer.
The shoot is now organized by the Hunting Heritage Trust. A popular feature of the JR Shoot is that the First Place, Second Place and Third-Place teams earn the privilege of naming a shooting sports organization to receive grants of $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000, respectively, from the Hunting Heritage Trust. Other organizations also benefit from the event.
The “JR Shoot” is traditionally held on the Thursday before Memorial Day and this year’s gathering is slated for May 26 at the Ten Mile River Preserve in Dover Plains, New York. Registration for the event is limited to 150 shooters and as of May 3rd, only 15 openings remained. Registration fees are $1,650.00 for a six-person squad and individual shooters are $300.00.
