This sperm whale from the Faroe Islands exploded at the worst time possible.
This whale had been dead for some time and the decomposing gasses in its body built up as it continued to rot from the inside out.
While an unidentified man was working to cut open the whale’s stomach, a huge gas pocket ruptured, violently blowing its innards and a fine mist of rotten goo all over the place. Luckily, the man managed to run away just in the nick of time.
This guy was cutting open a dead whale. What he didn’t know was there was tons of built up decomposing gasses inside.
One step closer and this guy would have been covered in rotten whale guts.
