The New Jersey Outdoor Alliance (CF), in conjunction with the National Wild Turkey Federation, is pleased to present, “Successful Spring Gobbler Hunting”. The seminar focuses on the steps required to become a more successful spring turkey hunter including: scouting techniques, equipment needs, turkey calling, and the fundamentals for setting up for a successful hunt.
You’ll also learn about the elusive nature of these great game birds; a perspective that will be of interest to wild turkey enthusiasts. The seminar is supported by captivating photos.
Bob Eriksen serves as a New Jersey Outdoor Alliance (CF) council member on behalf of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Mr. Eriksen is a Certified Wildlife Biologist who has served as a regional biologist and conservation field supervisor with the National Wild Turkey Federation working in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Delaware for twelve years. He has a Bachelors’ degree in Biology and a Masters in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Rutgers University. Prior to joining the NWTF staff Mr. Eriksen was a wildlife biologist supervisor with the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries for more than twenty-eight years. He provides technical advice and assists with wild turkey research projects and oversees wildlife habitat enhancement projects on state game lands, state forests and federal lands working closely with the wildlife and forestry agencies in the region.
