SMYRNA, Ga. –-(Ammoland.com)- GLOCK, Inc. made two donations totaling $70,000 on Monday, Oct. 25, during the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference held in Orlando, Fla.

Craig Dutton, Assistant National Sales Manager for GLOCK, Inc. personally presented a donation of $50,000 to the Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) Charity and $20,000 to Drug Enforcement Administration Survivors Benefit Fund (DEA SBF) during the ceremony at IACP.

In 2010, GLOCK, Inc. will have donated more than $550,000 to a variety of non-profit causes across the country.

On hand to represent C.O.P.S. will be Suzie Sawyer, Executive Director; Jennifer Thacker, Director of National Outreach; and Linda Gregory, National President. Representing the DEA SBF was Richard Crock, Supervisory Special Agent of the DEA.

This is the fourth consecutive year that GLOCK, Inc. has donated to the C.O.P.S. organization for a total of $200,000. C.O.P.S. is dedicated to supporting friends and families of Law Enforcement officers dealing with the grief caused after the loss of an officer. The nonprofit organization supports families with scholarships, child and teen camps, counseling and programs designed for spouses and parents, as well as support for the department in which the fallen officer served.

This will mark the first significant donation to the DEA SBF by GLOCK, Inc. The DEA SBF is a non-profit charitable organization that supports the surviving family members of United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration Employees and deputized Task Force Officers killed in the line of duty.

“GLOCK, Inc. has a long history of supporting the individuals and families of those that go in harm’s way,” stated Dutton. “We are proud to contribute to these two great organizations which make such a vital impact in the communities in which we all live.”
