One brightly shining young star on the competition circle is New Jersey’s own Shyanne Roberts, who has been putting in some serious time on the range.
She started shooting at the age of five and by seven was engaging in sanctioned matches across the country in IDPA, 3-Gun, USPSA, Action Rifle and Steel Silhouette competitions. This “Tom Boy Diva” is at home with a Glock 19 and Beretta 12 gauge as professional shooters more than twice her age.
After all, a visit to her Facebook page has her bemoaning an upcoming decision on whether to make a change and switch to a “Glock 34, CZ75 or hopefully a 2011 double stack in 9mm.”
Not your typical preteen problems, but then again, Ms. Roberts is not your typical preteen.
