The Idaho-based suppressor powerhouse kicked off their new integrated suppressor/barrel line for the 10/22 and their modular .45ACP system at SHOT Show.
Gemtech’s MIST is designed to make integral suppression of a Ruger 10/22 V-block rifle just a barrel swap away. The 17-inch integrated suppressor/barrel has a diameter of .920-inches and weighs 21-ounces but drops the sound of .22LR ammo down to as low as 112dB once mounted. For comparison, that’s BB gun quiet.
With its black isonite finish the MIST has the look of a bull barrel from a distance.
The MIST-TD is an easy swap out for any user of the 10/22 Take Down, and runs just 16.1-inches, preserving the OE length of that handy little rifle.
Both the MIST and MIST-TD use a match grade 22LR chamber. MSRP is $550.
Another piece of big news coming from Gemtech is their $799 GM-45 Lunar suppressor.
The titanium and 7075 aluminum can is modular and user-serviceable with the short stack running 6.9-inches long and weighing 10.1-ounces and sound testing on a Dan Wesson 1911 at 136dB. The full-length configuration is 8.5-inches long and picks up about another ounce but drops report down to 129dB.
Gemtech bills the Lunar as being the lightest, smallest and quietest modular .45ACP suppressor that can be user-maintained.
