Manufacturer Brings Weapon Optic Mounts to Shooting Enthusiasts, Hunters and More
Temecula, CA – Global Defense Initiatives (GDI), manufacturers of mount interface devices for use with day optics, red dot sights, laser aiming, illumination, night vision and thermal imaging systems, has announced that their products will now be available to both Military/Government and Commercial customers; thereby allowing shooters in the precision long range, hunting, and 3-Gun competition arenas to equally take advantage of their top of the line mounts.

Marco Gonzalez, the company’s CEO, founded GDI in 2002; who through his experience as a U.S. Navy SEAL, brought operational military experience to develop a mounting system that improved upon the then-current optic mounts issued to the war-fighter.
“The precision and performance just wasn’t there when we needed it,” stated Gonzalez. “I took it upon myself, as a personal mission, to develop a product that would not only improve the functionality and reliability of the optical sight mount, but optimize its capability to increase accuracy and keep our war-fighters safe while defending our freedoms.”
GDI’s origins as a provider of high-threat security services and specialized weapons and tactics training for military and law enforcement personnel, provided an additional research test bed that ultimately led to the development of GDI’s precision mount line.
Today, the focus of GDI is to provide the shooting industry as a whole with mounting solutions that not only meet the respective needs of the military and law enforcement operational communities, but to now include shooting sports enthusiasts within the recreational, hunting, and competition areas.
