SMYRNA, GA (Ammoland.com) – GASTON J. GLOCK style LP, the purveyors of fine quality hunting and shooting sports apparel and accessories, is unveiling three new pocket knives at the 2014 Blade Show & International Cutlery Fair, held at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia June 6th through June 8th, 2014 at Booth 638.
In addition, the company will be offering 10% off all GASTON J. GLOCK style LP brand knives purchased during the show and through the month of June in their online store.
The Meteorite Damascus Pocket Knife and Eurofighter Pocket Knife were modeled and manufactured based on drawings and sample books that date back to 1932.
These original designs were discovered at a 175 year old company located in Solingen, Germany. To make these particular knives, special tools from that era had to be reproduced and experienced blacksmiths were needed to manufacture these knives using the old techniques.
The plates for the blade of the Meteorite Damascus Pocket Knife are made from high quality, rare 320-layer torsion meteorite Damascus from the German blacksmith Markus Balbach, available exclusively through GASTON J. GLOCK style LP. The body of the knife is composed of two stamped brass liners, each having welded pins made of nickel silver, a back spring, a guard attached to the back spring and a connecting piece.
The knife’s scales are made of stabilized buckeye burl, complementing the blade’s steely color. Completion of this pocket knife occurs after over 100 different steps have been performed. The knife is made of high quality materials, is extremely durable, retains the sharpness of its edges and is highly valuable. MSRP is $795.00.
The blade of the Eurofighter Pocket Knife is handmade of 320-layer non-stainless Eurofighter Damascus, steel from the on-board cannon Mauser
BK-27 of a German combat Eurofighter jet, by the blacksmith shop of Markus Balbach. The steel is melted with tool steel during a weld bonding process. The body of the knife is composed of two stamped brass liners, each having welded pins made of nickel silver, a back spring, a guard attached to the back spring and a connecting piece, as well as the blade. The knife’s handle’s scales are made from Mammoth bones and are carefully attached by hand to the knife skeleton. Completion of this pocket knife occurs after over 100 different steps have been performed. The knife is made of high quality materials, is extremely durable, retains the sharpness of its edges and is highly valuable. MSRP is $525.00.
The Liner Lock Pocket Knife’s blade is made from 320-layer non-stainless Eurofighter Damascus steel using recycled elements from the on-board cannon Mauser BK-27 of a German combat Eurofighter jet, by the blacksmith shop of Markus Balbach. This futuristic looking pocket knife is completed using high quality materials, assembled and handcrafted by experienced blacksmiths and is perfect to have on hand when hunting wild boars. The inside planks are made of blue anodized grade 5 titanium while the slip slices are made of bronze. The handle is crafted out of stabilized, lightweight carbon fiber. The sheath is made from traditionally crafted, manually stitched saddle leather. Solely vegetable tanning material is used during the tanning process. MSRP is $745.00.
